About

The EMBRACE Lab was created in the beginning of 2024, at Örebro University, after Inês secured funding for the iACTforDGBI project. The team hired in this Swedish project would then (virtually) join the team working on the Mind project, in Portugal. A joint international venture, at the time with four research assistants, would then take form, and the EMBRACE Lab was built. Together, we aim to improve the lives of people living with chronic illnesses and promote biopsychosocial-based interventions across countries. Our ultimate goal is to contribute to the implementation of effective, evidence-based, integrative, and person-centered healthcare practices, using methods of scientific excellence.
