Mind project: IPOS 2024 and The XIV National Congress of Psycho-Oncology!
IPOS 2024
Mind team member Andreia Soares attended the 25th International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS) World Congress of Psycho-oncology in Maastricht, The Netherlands, between the 24th and the 27th of September 2024, accompanied by Research Leader Inês Trindade!
With a congress theme of “Cancer in Context” and psychosocial academy workshops addressing timely issues in research and practice, the World Congress highlighted the circumstances in which cancer plays a significant role in the lives of people facing the disease. The congress included a variety of workshops, keynote speeches, symposiums and poster presentations – with the aim of providing an opportunity for practitioners and researchers in the field to share their experiences, work, and research with professionals from across the globe and, ultimately, improving the lives of people facing cancer worldwide. Andreia and Inês had the opportunity to present 3 posters regarding the ongoing Mind trial in breast cancer and to discuss further steps with expert senior colleagues from around the world.
